Helmet CE EN 1078 Certification

British Columbia
B.C. Reg. 234/96 does not list CE EN 1078 in their recognized safety standards meaning it does not conform with the province's laws for bike helmet at all ages.

Alberta
The Alberta Government does not list CE EN 1078 meaning it does not conform with the province's laws for bike helmets on everyone under 18. Hypothetically, anyone over 18 can still use a Catlike helmet.

Saskatchewan
The Saskatchewan Government has no helmet regulations. Government-funded SKPrevention recognizes CE EN 1078 standards. Some local municipalities have helmet by-laws: Moose Jaw specifies "or by a similar recognized certification", Yorkton does not specify a safety certification, and Estevan does not recognize CE EN 1078 for users under 16.

Manitoba
The Government of Manitoba recognizes CE EN 1078 safety standards! To conform to the under 18 law, you can use Catlike. Fire away!

Ontario
Ontario's R.R.O. 1990, REGULATION 610 does not list CE EN 1078 in its approved options meaning it does not conform with the province's laws for bike helmets on everyone under 18. Hypothetically again, anyone over 18 can still use a Catlike helmet.

Quebec
Ride on! Quebec recognizes CE EN 1078 helmets on their approved standards list even though they don't have a mandatory helmet law!

New Brunswick
This government is a little vague in what is "approved". Fredericton lists EN 1078 as an option, but the province itself does not have a list. Proceed at your own discretion as they do have a law for all cyclists.

Nova Scotia
Go ahead! The Nova Scotia Government recognizes the European Committee for Standardization. Nova Scotia has a mandatory requirement for all cyclists!

Newfoundland and Labrador
Unfortunately, the Newfoundland and Labrador Government does not recognize the CE EN 1078 for their all-age mandatory requirement.

Prince Edward Island
The Government of PEI does not recognize CE EN 1078 in their list of approved safety standards for their mandatory helmet law!

Yukon, NWT, Nunavut
There are no legislated helmet requirements in any of the Territories. Whitehorse has a bylaw but allows for "CSA approved or equivalent" helmets.
