Vauhti: RESPONSIBLE FOR SPEED

2024-2025 vs 2025-2026

Relabeling Explainations

Most of Vauhti's updates for this season primarily involve changes to packaging. They have released a helpful PDF that outlines which products have new labels and which are entirely new. This resource is particularly useful if you want to verify that the wax you purchased last season is the same recipe or to confirm that our on-sale clearance supply has the same formula but with different packaging.

Racing Waxes & How to Apply

Vauhti has also put out a great explainer PDF on how to use their line of race waxes to prepare skis to the highest level—starting with how exactly to use Clean & Glide, and moving to paraffins, powders, liquids, and top coats application, through to cornerstore recipes and how to use their grip waxes. Watch the livestream recording Vauhti put out for commentary on this PDF, and watch ski legend Ville Nousiainen apply the products professionally.

RACE Line

The biggest changes in the Vauhti wax line are coming to the RACE line of waxes. Much of it is just rebranding to a new, more-concise system but there are a few brand new formulas and products.

RACE LDR

Vauhti has been famous for the versatility of its LDR products in the past. Now that the real LDR products are being renamed PINK and VIOLET, the LDR name is moving to their new durable base waxes. These waxes are designed to provide the best link between the polyethylene ski base and RACE powders or liquids. LDR White is for all-conditions durability, and LDR Black is for older, dirtier snow with its Molybdenum additive.

RACE Liquids

The Vauhti RACE liquids have been the most popular product of the Vauhti line for a few years! All products were previously available in 100ml bottles which they still are, but now the addition of a 60ml bottle has been added. As for the products, all are the same formulas as previous models except for the RACE Red. A brand new formula for all high-moisture, warm snow types. RACE Pink is LDR New Snow, RACE Violet is LDR Old Snow, RACE Blue is Cold Old Snow, and RACE Green is Cold New Snow. No more squinting at the bottles to see which is which, just look at the colours!

RACE Powders

Scrap the choice between paraffin blocks and powders, they're all powders now! Most of the powders are just relabelled from the previous line: PINK is LDR New Snow paraffin, VIOLET is LDR Old Snow, BLUE is Cold Old Snow, GREEN is Polar New Snow, MoS2 is Black Old Snow, and C is Black New Snow. The only brand new formula is in the RACE RED. These powders are great bases for TOP RACE products, or test them on their own as the race wax of the day! MoS2 is a moly wax you can mix in with other powders for faster glide in dirty old snow, and the C powder is a great mix-in for cold, dry snow.

TOP RACE Red Liquid

TOP RACE RED Liquid is Vauhti's polymer top coat liquid. Spraying this liquid on the gliding surfaces of your skis will make them faster on any type of snow, though especially in humid-wet snow! This liquid is designed to be the last coat. To use, start by preparing your ski with your chosen Vauhti Race Liquid, Powder, or Melt Wax. Next, shake the bottle of Top Race Red well. Spray it at an angle (not directly down) onto the gliding surface of your ski. Use a synthetic cork or fleece to spread the liquid evenly, then let it dry. No brushing is needed afterward - you're all set!

TOP RACE Blocks

Three of these TOP RACE blocks are just rebranded versions of the past RACE blocks: Violet is LDR, Blue is Cold, and MoS2 is Black. The only brand new is the TOP RACE Red block! Perfect for shorter distance races or as a speed up for the start line in a distance race. These blocks work best on a clean ski, or to top the RACE glide wax of your choice! Vauhti recommends to rub the block straight on the ski, roto felt and/or cork into the base, and then finish with a soft nylon.

UP Line - for racer's maintenance and training

Nothing particularly new in the UP line of waxes. For the liquids, bottle sizes now include a 60ml option, in addition to the 100ml and 200ml sizes. UP LDR is now renamed to Universal. All formulas are still the same, meaning you can save by ordering a 100ml bottle with last year's label!

ONE - recreational use & base prep maintenance for active skiers

Nothing particularly new in the ONE line of waxes. For the liquids, bottle sizes now include a 60ml option as well to go with the 100ml and 200ml sizes. ONE LDR is now renamed to Universal as well. All formulas are still the same!

GOeasy - recreational use

GOeasy is the rebrand/redesign of the GW line of recreational waxes. Smaller bottles, faster drying, cheaper prices; everything that is craved by recreational skiers. They dropped the Polar products as recreational skiers aren't outside in those temperatures and conditions. They also dropped the 180g blocks as recreational skiers do not use that much wax either. With the faster drying time in the liquids also brings easier brushing.

Klaebo Collection

The new face of Vauhti Racing! Fresh off winning six gold medals at Trondheim 2025, Klaebo announced a partnership with Vauhti as his wax sponsor. 12 new glide waxes (6 race waxes and 6 recreational waxes); 7 new grip waxes (4 hardwaxes and 3 klisters); as well as tools and swag. The partnership with Vauhti involves the entire Klaebo family: sister Ane (marketing & design), dad (R&D, testing) and brother Ola (product manager). The waxes are unique formulas to Klaebo's spec! The tools and swag are, at this stage, still Vauhti’s products but with Klaebo labels.
