Available in two condition types, the Universal/Cold Flex is the best choice for all-around conditions, from soft falling to hard packed to freshly groomed! These skis are built to give you world-cup-level glide while making it as easy as possible to access your grip wax so you can focus on getting to the finish line as fast as possible. The Infra X has a high-riding grip pocket that compresses with ease, distributing your kick action across the entire grip pocket - maximizing the grip offered by each millimetre of your grip zone. The NOMEX Honeycomb Core construction makes these skis exceptionally lightweight, and the Nano High-Speed base material (NHS) shows up best at high speeds. Sizing/Flex Chart & How to Choose the right Flex and Length

  • STEP 1: Use the table below and find the skier's Body Weight
  • STEP 2: If there's more than one Ski Length that fits the skier's Body Weight, use the skier's Body Height to choose the best ski length. Choose a longer ski for a more advanced skier.

Since cross-country sizing takes significant interpretation to get right, we recommend getting in touch with us at info@skiwax.ca with the following info:

  1. The ski model
  2. The skier's height
  3. The skier's weight
  4. The skier's ability (beginner, experienced, racer, etc...)
  5. The snow type you'd like the skis to work best in
  6. If you'd like bindings, poles, or boots as part of a package deal

    • UNIVERSAL/COLD profile. We can select a pair of these skis to target a specific snow type. Ask us for Infra X skis for hard-pack, or soft-pack tracks. Hardwax or Klister. We`re ready to get you a pair of custom-picked skis.
    • Comes with NOMEX Honeycomb Core construction. The lightest and strongest core material available in the Nordic Ski industry
    • Built-in NIS 1.0 plate compatible with NIS bindings
    • Grip Pocket: Compared to other ski brands, the Infra X grip pocket rides high - meaning it lifts your grip wax off the snow more so than other brands. This increases the `glide of your grip wax`. The flex feels very elastic and supple when the grip wax is compressed during the kick phase - giving you easy grip without excess effort. The grip pockets close very evenly, meaning the pressure of your kick is spread across the entire grip zone with no areas of increased demand on your grip wax. This maximizes the effectiveness of each millimeter of the grip zone.
    • FLUOR-FREE Nano High-Speed base material (NHS): Previous to 2020, all NHS ski bases contained very, very large amounts of fluoro additives baked in the base material. Starting in 2021, all Peltonen skis are 100% fluoro-free made without any fluoro additives in the base material: certified for fluoro-free racing rules! The factory stone-grind is ideal for average snow temperatures.
    • Industry-leading laminate sublayer: Peltonen bases are exceptionally flat out of the factory and stay flat after hotboxing & applying wax with high-temperature irons thanks to the reinforcing laminate sublayer sandwiched between the core material and the base material. The reinforcing laminate sublayer keeps the ski bases flat for many seasons reducing the need for stone-grinding as a means to re-flatten the bases. Flat bases are much easier to wax and they distribute pressure evenly on the snow during the glide phase of skate-kick or when in a tuck position.
    • Made in Finland
    • The Infra X also has a red-base WET ski base version and a ZERO version. Bindings are sold separately.
