  • Finnish-handmade skis designed for backcountry skiing.
A special, Finnish-handmade ski with two different base options, fishscale step or skins. This ski is designed with deep snow, back country, and lake skiing in mind. This is the GG-Step (fishscale) ski version. It has a very flexible tip for good floatation on powder and soft snow. Grab yourself some backcountry bindings, big basket poles, and a Nordic-Step Boot Harness to complete your back country skiing adventure! The Metsä skis come in a few different lengths: the shortest being the easiest to control but having less flotation, and the longest being harder to control but having more floatation. Use shorter skis if you are a beginner, and longer skis if you are a pro-BC skier.
