These skis are B-Grade quality from the factory, meaning they either have minor cosmetic defects or the flexes of each ski do not match as closely as we`d like. These skis have old graphical designs and are therefore on clearance while supplies last. Infra X SKIN is a kick-wax-free ski with the full-spectrum of racing ski features. This ski is perfect for racers who would like a waxless ski option that can be within 90 to 95% as fast as a well-waxed classic ski. With this season`s version of the Infra X SKIN, they have created a high-riding grip pocket that compresses with ease; distributing your kick-action across the entire skin-insert - maximizing the grip offered by each millimeter of your grip zone. The red-coloured `Mohair Race` skin insert is designed for racers to allow excellent glide while providing great grip in any snow condition. The NOMEX Honeycomb Core construction makes these skis exceptionally lightweight. The FLUOR-FREE Nano High-Speed base material (NHS) shows up best at high speeds. Sizing/Flex Chart Coming Soon

The Peltonen sizing/flex chart takes a decent amount of interpretation to get right. We recommend getting in touch with us at info@skiwax.ca with the following info;

  1. The ski model (Infra X WET/KLISTER, Supra X UNIVERSAL, etc...)
  2. the skier`s height,
  3. the skier`s weight,
  4. the skier`s ability, (beginner, experienced, racer, etc...)
  5. the snow type you`d like the skis to work best in,
  6. and if you`d like bindings, poles, or boots as part of a package deal!

    • Universal profile: Infra X Skin skis are suitable for all snow conditions. Bindings are sold separately.
    • Built-in NIS 2.0 plate is compatible with NIS bindings and is ready-made for the Rottefella MOVE system.
    • Red-coloured `Mohair Race` skin insert is designed for racers to allow excellent glide while providing great grip in any snow condition. Inserts are glued in place and can easily be replaced with a waxing iron in the event the skin inserts wear out.
    • Comes with NOMEX Honeycomb Core construction. The lightest and strongest core material available in the Nordic Ski industry
    • Grip Pocket: The Infra X SKIN`s grip pocket rides high - meaning it lifts your skin-inserts high off the snow during your glide phase. The flex feels very elastic and supple when the grip skin is compressed during the kick phase - giving you easy grip without excess effort. The grip pockets close in reverse to wax classic grip pockets to ensure the pressure of your kick is spread across the skin-insert perfectly. This maximizes the effectiveness of each millimeter of the grip zone.
    • High-performance PRG 4100 base material
    • Industry-leading laminate sublayer: Peltonen bases are exceptionally flat out of the factory and stay flat after hotboxing & applying wax with high-temperature irons thanks to the reinforcing laminate sublayer sandwiched between the core material and the base material. The reinforcing laminate sublayer keeps the ski bases flat for many seasons reducing the need for stone-grinding as a means to re-flatten the bases. Flat bases are much easier to wax and they distribute pressure evenly on the snow during the glide phase of skate-kick or when in a tuck position.
